How to Clean a Kettle with Lemons

How often do you clean the inside of your kettle? πŸ˜€ It’s not a bad idea to take a look inside from time to time and check to see how clean and fresh things are looking. After all, you do drink the water that comes out of this thing! Over time and use, the inside of your kettle can build up scale, germs and grime. Here’s a quick tip to keep your kettle clean:

  1. Grab a couple of πŸ‹ lemons, cut them up into quarters, and pop them into your kettle
  2. Fill the kettle up with water 🚰 & boil it (with the lemons inside)
  3. Let it cool down and then boil it again, then let it cool down
  4. Empty out the lemons and check it out

βœ… The citric acid in the lemons works as a natural cleaning tool and disinfectant, and this combination of lemons and boiling water will help kill household germs and remove grime.
