The primary function of an RCD (Residual Current Device) is to monitor the flow of electric current in an electrical circuit and quickly disconnect the power if it detects any imbalance between the live and neutral conductors. This imbalance may occur if there is a leakage of current to the ground, such as when a person accidentally comes into contact with an exposed live wire or faulty electrical equipment.
RCDs are essential. In addition to having them installed on your switchboard, they also need to be regularly tested. Our team can assist with both tasks.
